The Believer's War With Satan

The believer is unable to stand against the attacks of Satan in
his own strength. The disciples found that certain demons were
beyond the power that Jesus had given them. Even with supernatural
authority, the disciples were dependant upon God's power. (Mark
9:14-29)

It is only the armor of God that enables believers to have
victory over the enemy. (Eph. 6:10-18)

James tells us that if we submit ourselves to God, and resist the
devil, and he will flee from us. (James 4:7)

The Lord demonstrated this truth during his own temptation.
